Hi I just wondered a very rough price if I wanted to change the dial, hands, bezel and maybe the crystal on say a Seiko 007 type watch ?

    Thanks

its not cheap Robert, i have done loads of 007 mods and i think the dearest, when you counted in the cost of the watch, hit well over £200.
    just roughly:
    sapphire crystal £30 ish
    dial                      £30 ish
    hands                 £20 ish
    chapter ring      £15 ish
    Bezel insert      £20 ish
i also changed the movements from 7s26 to NH36 which added another £38, the advantage being it was a more modern movement that can be hand wound and hacked, visualy the movements are identical, but the NH series have diferent balance spring alloy and a different main spring alloy for more accuracy and longer power reserve.
obviously you can get cheaper parts, but you can also get dearer parts.
    i have used this seller:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/dr.seikostain/m.html?item=301834340646&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

his products and customer service are second to none and as you will see from his products ...you can go a lot further than what i have listed above with new case backs and bezels etc
have fun on yet another watch related slippery slope Very Happy

this was the last one i made, new case, crystal, bezell, insert, dial, hands, movement etc

No do not do it trust me I started out the same as you buy just changing this then change that and I am now hooked Very Happy . Not only do you need to take into account the cost of parts you require but you may need the odd tool to like a case back opener or a set of screw drivers and then there are hand removing tools and hand "put em back on " tool (I forgot the correct name)
To give to an example of cost I bought a new dial this morning from Dagaz watches in HK and the dial was £25 but then Dagaz us known for quality the same as Yobokies . Good luck on your search

My Seiko doxa homage was fitted with the following

    New dial
    new hands
    New coin edge bezel
    Bezel insert
    Used stainless steel Seiko strap

The watch and the parts are not cheap it owes me about £230 all in but well worth the experience of doing the mod myself but it's going to have to go soon to Balance the books Sad

Well you have all turned me off modding any watches affraid

Only kidding in the short term I will just buy watches I like instead of modding them, e.g. Go for a blue tuna, turtle rather than get a cheap black one and then mod it.

But later on I will go for what you are all doing, I hope

Anyway thanks to you all for the help
