Watch the man at the top Empty Watch the man at the top

I've always had a passing interest in the time pieces worn by political leaders, or for that matter, people in the media spot light like film stars and musicians. I've quite fancied a Jorg Gray, as worn by Barrack Obama, or a Breguet pocket watch as brandished be Churchill.

I'm not sure if anyone saw the news this week though Americans took the wise choice to vote in some chap called Trump as their new president. He seems like a really down to earth, rational bloke who I can really relate to. We both seem to have bad hair days too. Sarcasm aside, he's got a fairly interesting past with watches, including his own brand, which is probably a political first.

So forgetting all the silly news about elections, Brexit, refugees and more of my favourite celebrities dying, I thought I'd remind everyone, don't judge a book by its cover, there's only so much you can read into, xenophobia, misogyny and locker room talk. If you want to judge a man, do it properly and judge him by his time piece.

i have seen his watches before and they are awful IMO ..Gaudy, cheesy, tasteless, badly made, poorly designed and made of the cheapest crap............the watches are just as bad lol!

Obama's Jorg Gray is a smart looking watch, i have seen them quite cheap and very very expensive.........dont know why ?

Jorge Gray was never a watch on general sale originally. Obama used to wear a Tag Heuer until his secret service attaché chipped in to give him a Jorge Gray as a present. They bought it from a staff shop. Clearly, people wanted to copy Obama so started trying to buy them where they could. Given the demand for Jorge Gray, they eventually went on general sale. I suspect the expensive ones are the older ones which were only ever intended to be for members of the secret service

I've no idea on that point, they could be all the same. They look OK though not my thing, however when it comes to watches, I'll probably change my mind and end up liking them...

this is the one the public can buy

Watch the man at the top Jg6500-21-1

and this is the secret service/Obama one

Watch the man at the top JG6500SecretService

£250 seems to be the average price which is too much for a miyota quartz IMO
not a bad looking watch though
