    I need a new battery for this Seiko 5H26-7A19 - does anyone know what it takes before I attempt to open up the rear, so I can purchase one? I dont want to leave it too long in case of a leak, its from the 90's and the watch was once issued to the US navy.. (so I am led to believe)

    i think you will find its a Renata or Seikosha 370

    quite rare watches now especially in good condition

    yes should be, both are basically the same but the 371 has a higher output meant for chronographs if i recall right, but you can put it in a basic analogue and then should last about 6 years..maybe more
