Kirby Morgan 200m Quartz Diver

My latest purchase is a Kirby Morgan 200m Quartz diver . The watch is powered by a Seiko (Epson) VX42E movement





Crown position is 4 oclock  Dial Diameter 30mm , outer bezel 40mm and overall case dia 43.5mm (not in cluding the crown )

I bought this watch pre owned and definitely not pre loved it had dirt and scratches everywhere





Also on the crystal appears to be some kind of tough paint or glue which I can not remove



I removed the movement and placed the case and caseback into the ultra sonic cleaner and then gave a little brush over with a toothbrush and I think it has come out looking a lot better . I need to change the crystal at some point and hopefully I might be able to replace the bezel insert for a new one .







Very happy with this purchase and I shall definitely be buying more quartz divers I think my next one may be a Divex . Finally one part of the watch that is not normally seen is the caseback and I appreciate the detailing that has gone into the design on this one .

Well done John, quite a transformation and I’m impressed that you can completely remove the movement to be able to clean the case.  It would be good if you could change the crystal / bezel insert at some point though the watch looks great as it is. 

what a difference a clean makes wearing someone else's DNA on your wrist is disgusting so its good its squeaky clean now

I am quietly confident that I can change the crystal it is the bezel insert that I am worried about as I dont actually think I will be able to replace it . IT may be worth an email to Kirby Morgan see if they can help me out .

Inside dia 30.5mm outside is 36mm . Looking at the Insert it is not a flat one it looks as though the outside is set higher

Hopefully will look better next week after a new crystal order and fitted to a bracelet.
