Shark 6105 strap change Empty Shark 6105 strap change

Post by domecurb Fri Sep 01 2017, 16:03

i ordered a strap for another watch but stupidly ordered a 20mm instead of a 22mm so rather than send it back i thought i would try it on the 6105 homage
it was on a mesh which it suited well i think

on a black silicon, i like silicon as it is soft and easily cleaned

on leather, dont like leather, but it looks good
    Shark 6105 strap change Wp_20178

the new black and blue silicon

other side of the reversable balck and blue silicon...nice but too bright IMO

i am going to stick with the black with blue stripe

its amazing how a strap change can alter the apearance and desirabilty of a watch
this silicon strap is probably the softest and most comfortable i have or had

Think the black and blue silicon would be my favourite as well, it really suits the watch.  The mesh also looked pretty good though so it's good to have it in reserve. Very Happy

Mesh first and then the black/blue silicon strap.
The brown leather doesn't do it for me sorry

I wasn't too sure about the brown leather either. Possibly black leather would work better though for now the mesh or silicon look really good.

as i said, i dont like leather straps, but more than that.........i think leather straps on a dive watch is just daft, there are loads of "new starts " or kickstarters making "new and original" dive watches [lol! ], but they always seem to put them on leather.........i have never seen a diver wearing leather scratch

    Good point.
And that means I need to sort a strap for something that's in the post for a little project Smile

I like it on the mesh it really suits it but a good second choicr is the black/blue combination it is currently on.
As for divers on leather I think some actually suit leather I bought some leather straps purposely to put on divers.

but if you wore them diving the leather would dry out and shrink to the point you couldnt wear them and thats if they didnt fall apart first

Certainly not good for diving though I imagine a lot of the diver watches being sold are unlikely ever to be in contact with water.
