    Holiday time Empty Holiday time

Post by Daz Sun Aug 27 2017, 12:49

Well as you had figured out from the title I am on holiday.
Firstly apologies for disappearing for a bit internet and phone signals not available in this area.
So I decided on a SKX007 and red bezel and strapcode bracelet but could I manage with one watch for 2 weeks? I bottled it and took an RLT77 as well but have not had to wear it yet. Very Happy
How do you all get on? How many watches and how many?

Haven't been away for a holiday for years so haven't had the dilemma of choosing which watch(es) to take.

I imagine a basic Quartz that I wouldn't worry about anything happening to along possibly with a dress vintage watch to minimise any withdrawal symptoms. lol!

Hope the weather is good and you enjoy your holiday. Holiday time 3377044411

I always take two or three, a Citizen Skyhawk which is radio controlled, I take this because I like to have something tough a mega accurate when I'm travelling. When I'm there, I don't feel like I've unwound properly Laughing until I've put on an automatic of some sort and I also like to have a cheap waterproof digital for going to the beach and messing around in.

Just back from 10 days away in our aged Talbot motorhome. I took my yellow-dialled PRS3-LE for day wear, and my Aramar Transatlantic for evening duties.

Some great ideas gents and fantastic watches
I did consider a splash of yellow as it does have a holiday vibe but could not be sure if it was ok for swimming in.
So far the weather has been good and the only worry getting burnt.
    Thanks all

Those 7548's are very nice, if I remember right Brian May from Queen wore one for years.
Now you have done it off to the bay to have a look Very Happy

Get your credit card ready as they fetch pritty good money , basically the same as a 007 but with the sturdy Seiko Quartz movement

A little word of warning I would check that whatever you decide to buy can be modded first. Almost all Seiko's can be modded it is just that with some models parts are really hard to find and I mean really hard to find some are almost impossible .
