    Dilemma time Empty Dilemma time

Post by Iceblue Sun Apr 30 2017, 09:59

a watch that I really would like to get is a fair amount of money to spend and by all account the market should start to slow down and the prices may fall slightly , it's going to be a second hand watch but the dilemma is do I have a cull while the market is pritty strong and then have the funds in place if the market drops , it will mean selling a fair few of the collecting and just keeping a few ,

Struggling as I would sell the ones that are really easy to replace but keep the ones that are harder to source ie out with the seikos and keep the orients etc

Mmmmmmmmmmmm I appreciate and respect all your advise help needed

If the one you want to buy is special to you and as you say you sell the ones that are easy enough to replace then I would go for it matey . You may be kicking yourself in the future if you do not buy it now.

Depending on where you would be getting the watch would trading be a possible option?

If you have decided you are (a) definitely going to buy this watch and (b) there are watches in your collection that you are content to part with to do so I think it would be an idea to start selling now.

As it is going to be a second hand watch it could take months to find one that is perfect for you but on the other hand one might crop up in the next few weeks. It would therefore seem better to have at least started to build up the funds.

It may also save you from having to sell any of your watches too cheaply if you had to do raise money at short notice.

Whatever the watch is it must be pretty special so fingers crossed it all works out well. Very Happy
