40 space watch storage case

i bought a watch storage case a while back and it arrived this afternoon, it took so long to arrive i think it went via Mars or i am too impatient

it is lockable with a combination for extra security and measures 44x32x10cm's
it is well put together and certainly tough enough for my uses
there are 40 spaces, but as seems to be the same with all watch boxes it is meant more for classic sized watches...maybe up to 40mm wide, wider watch would touch each other i think and my OCD would go into melt down at the though
so a one space gap between each is in order, a 20 odd space watch case is good enough for me, but means i will need another one [ or two or three or.... ]

What are the cushions like ? Are they a material covered plastic that is flexible ? I like the aluminium case it is an ideal size to store flat

Looks good but I see what you mean about the available width for each watch. It might be possible to place a watch head at the base of a cushion and on the next one at the top of the cushion. It wouldn't be ideal though & looks better with a space in between.

I think you really need to start collecting vintage watches and problem solved unless you forget the combination of course.

trouble is: i do collect vintage as well

That's a revelation.

You should be able to fully use the cushions and fit 40 vintage watches. That would look great and then you could post the case to me .....oops meant you could enjoy looking at them in the case.
