Never knew that and always thought the Tissot Seastar watches were automatics.  Embarassed

Presumably the same movement is used for the date / day models and date only ones.

you will often see Omegas with either Tissot 2100 movements or unnamed 2100 as the original movement has packed in

Very interesting Bruce, Wednesday 25 January. 3377044411 I knew the technology was shared but thought the movements themselves would have been far more customised by each brand.

If it's the same with the Omega f300 or the Seamaster 120 that could help sourcing parts but no doubt the proverbial ship has sailed with that option and they are all equally scarce nowadays. Rolling Eyes

the only movement compatible with the 1332 is the 1337, but its equally scarce Sad trouble is if you find a watch for parts then you are almost guaranteed that its got the same fault as the one you are trying to sort or its already been used for parts and is full of swapped out bits......been there so often i have lost count and have boxes of useless movements

I imagine if a longstanding watchmaker was retiring and boxes of coils and circuits were found it would be a veritable gold mine. bounce

it's a pity that the function of these parts couldn't be replicated with modern technology for watch restoration. No doubt that's a lot easier said than done. Sad
