That is a beautiful watch.
Really like John's Detamaso as well, quite striking and the black strap with white stitching looks perfect for it.

i think just about any watch looks good on vintage brown leather
i just wished i like wearing leather

Thats a great looking strap I really like it only problem I find is most straps dont quite fit my wrist ,, not enough leather left to put under the keeper .
If I could make one that looked that good I would be happy

I agree with you buddy I had a similar strap and the brown vintage looked great on my Monaco until I broke the strap glad I broke it did not happen when wearing it out

I am actually going to have a go at making my own I have all the gear (but no idea

You did very well with the straps you were making and far better than I would do. It will also be very rewarding to make a strap that you would feel perfect for the watch.
