SEIKO Prospex Shogun SBDC029
this arrived this morning and i am not disappointed
Seiko Automatic 6R15 with 50-hour power reserve
Hardlex (mineral) crystal glass
deep matt black dial
44mm titanium case
Scratch-proof (dia-shield) titanium bracelet with deployment clasp
200m / 660ft water resistance
Date window at 3 o’clock position
12-hour time markings filled with absolutely epic lume
Screw down crown at 3 o’clock
22mm lug width tapering to 18mm at the clasp
i dont have many Titanium watches in my collection although to be fair more than one is probably more than most normal people, but seriously i think this one brings the count to 4...or 5...or may be 6?
i have never been that keen on Titanium because although Ti has greater a tensile strength than steel its as soft as Aluminium and as such it marks so easily, but the Shogun is different in that the case is Dialshield treated which basically means the case has the scratch resistance of artificial sapphire, remember sapphire is just below diamond on the Mohs scale so quite impressive and this gives me confidence that the watch wont mark easily, but i dont intend to test it
the watch is just above mid end IMO and the fit and finish shows this, the case quality is one of the best i have seen and being Ti its as light as a feather, being so comfortable it should get a lot of wear
