Post by Iceblue Fri Feb 15 2019, 11:28

So I have aquired a invicta 8926ob with a nh35a movement now the question is would a dial with

28.5 with 3.00 crown fit or
    28.5 with 4.00 crown fit

May be a stupid question as I don't think the crown length matters also  it says that it will fit a nh35 movement but doesn't list nh35a

And the last question any id a off a red bezel insert that would fit this

Cheers in advance my trusted forum members

I may have just found one off the answer to my question

Q: What dial do I need for my watch... 3:00 or 4:00 dial?
A: Look at your watch head on as you would to tell the time. If the crown is located next to the marker for 3:00 on the dial (like on a SKX031) then you need a dial for watches with the crown at 3:00. If the crown is located at the 4:00 position (like on a SKX007) then you need a dial for watches with the crown at the 4:00.

Would these hands fit the nh35a movement ? Listed for these below
FOR SEIKO ONLY - NOT ETA
    7s26, 7s36, 7s25, 7s35, 6r15, 4r15, 4r35, 4r36, 6309, 7002, 7009. 7006 ( vintage quartz ie: 7548 )

Andy , You will need a dial for 3 oclock crown that way the dial feet will slot into place nicely , you may get away with a 4 oclock dial but will need to remove dial feet and use dial dots also I am not entirely sure if the date window would line up .

yes those hands you mention will fit

Red bezel insert can be purchased from ebay , you need a insert for a rolex 16610 as they are the same dimensions

If you have an Invicta and are looking for red bezel insert that can only mean you are going for the Tudor mod

I have always wanted to try and remove the Invicta logo from my Invicta but never built up the courage to do it so will be interested to see how you get on .

Are you going to try and source the bigger crown for the mod ? I have searched but am unable to source one but they must be available from somewhere

After having a brief read of that link the original person did not buy a new crown but instead modded the original crown and it looks good so by the look of it you will not need to purchase another crown .

I may be wrong here ... but ... I would put the crown into a drill and turn drill on , as the crown rotates you could use the corner of a fine file to create a small and narrow groove into the crown and this is where you could mark it red with a marker pen similar to how the original person did . As I mentioned though I may be wrong , and if you was to try this method I would most certainly try out with an old crown , one that you can afford to damage.
