Hi just wondered if anyone had any watches which have been ip’d or would you buy, looking at the black dive master evo on Aragon’s site ?

    Thanks

i have one, i dont normaly go for plated watches of any sort but i like the one i have, the coating is quite tough though so if i wanted to buy one it wouldn't put me off

IP or PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition. A material is selected to coat a base metal or substrate surface. That material is vaporized and deposited on the base or substrate material, bonding molecularly with the base material. The PVD watch coating is very durable and attractive as a watch case and bracelet finish.

IMO if allowed to wear naturally through rubbing against clothing etc it can look really good

no its just realy realy dirty being from Devon and all that Razz
seriously though you would need to look up the model spec to see if its PVD or DLC there is a big difference but they look the same
DLC is very expensive to do but is much harder wearing .
DLC stand for "Diamond Like Coating" and is actually close to the hardness of diamond making the surface very scratch resistant but NOT scratch proof as some seem to think ........
modern black Rolex's you see are all DLC
