I have been into Horology (I love using the posh word for watch hoarder ) for just short of 2 years now and I started off like many I guess buying watches that appealed to me and then decided that I just wanted to own Automatic watches as Quartz and mechanical didnt interest me .
I then moved on to just buying Seiko Autos until one day a Pulsar Quartz arrived in the post from Domecurb and I thought hey I quite like this I do not need to change the date if I have not wore it for a while and I do not need to set the time so this is where my love of quartz started .
I still only try to collect the Seiko brand although this does open the doors to Pulsar Lorus Alba etc
I can tell you where each one in my collection came from and what appealed to me to make me buy it. My knowledge in movements and cases has increased dramatically thanks to here and other forums and as most on here know I "tinker" now and again cleaning up a watch replacing crystals I have tried to make the odd leather strap and feel my work is getting better slowly .
I have reached a point though that I guess a few on here will have experienced do I keep my collection as it is or do I sell some of them and if I do which ones do I sell as i like each and everyone in their own little way and some more than others .
If I sell some what would I replace them with and in the future would I regret selling. Something I need to think long and hard about .
Here is the majority of my collection to date I do have others but they are tucked way in another box these are the ones I mainly wear day to day
Thanks for reading
