This one for me today........

The crown advances the time & also the hand with the arrow / pointer to the day of the week. The other crown advances the month in the window and when pulled out advances the outer circle of the dates of the month.
Once everything is aligned it's like a perpetual calendar with the month showing as well as the pointer pointing to the day / date.
I presume it's possibly 1950s. There are no maker marks on the caseback or the 17 Jewel Swiss made movement as per this picture....

It's a nice watch to wear and something a bit different.

amazing watch, they were probably made for numerous brands and not necessarily watch brands hence why there is no makers name within..
here's another, not common but there are some around.........

Re: Wednesday 21st December
This for work:
And this one for tonight.
I'm going to wear it to justify the effort that went in to it last night.
My daughter came home from town yesterday with a POS £20 fashion watch with painted on chrono dials. She has tiny wrists and the watch was about 40mm with a 14mm strap which looked ridiculous and didn't sit right. I asked her if she would prefer something from my collection (a limited selection !!!!!) and she liked the Lord Quartz. I couldn't get the bracelet small enough to fit her, so I took it off. Put it on a leather strap, still too big ! A NATO didn't look right either. So I put the bracelet back on. Or tried to.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Solid end links. One side went back on after 10 minutes of fiddling and much swearing, and the other, after 15 minutes had me beaten. I was tired and rather irritable by this time, so I went to bed and left it to do this morning. Came down, picked it up and with a flick of the pin tool, the pin just slipped in to place, easy as that ! She's going in to town tomorrow to return it, and I have said I will help her pick something more suitable after Christmas.

That's a cracking time piece, I love the amount of engineering they've managed to pack in side that watch, looks great to me.
