The one negative aspect of the watch for you was the titanium coating. You must be chuffed to have been able to get it removed.
For me today it's this 1917 silver trench watch.

I do like seeing old Trench watches I just wish I could get away with wearing one but too small for me I am afraid

the Ti came off really easily so i am glad i did it as it would have marked so easy.
i like your little trench watch, barring the dial it looks very similar to the one i have

I'm so used to vintage watches I forget about the size difference. This fellow is around 35mm so not as small as some can be.
