Latest arrival after saying no more Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I.Concept Tritium Dive watch, a brand i have not heard of before, but the spec is attractive as is { IMO } the watch

    48mm including the crown
    24mm lug width
17mm case thickness [case back to flat crystal ]
    AR coated flat sapphire
    NH35 Movement
    200M WR
    Good Quality screw down crown
Tritium Tube Hands and Dial indices
    High quality screwed link bracelet
very very good spec for the price and probably £300 less than an equivalent Seiko and a bit more interesting too IMO

Being tritium gas tubes, there is absolutely no glow in daylight or low light, but hit it with an ultra violet light....AND POW !!! Very Happy

it is, H3 tritium gas within tiny gas tubes with the millions of electrons bouncing around causing friction and light, half life of 20 to 25 years apparently too Very Happy

Lets open it up! I could get this tested in a lab ;-) Just to see the truth in it all!

this is taken from your link:

"The beta particles emitted by the radioactive decay of small amounts of tritium cause chemicals called phosphors to glow. This radioluminescence is used in self-powered lighting devices called betalights, which are used for night illumination of firearm sights, watches, exit signs, map lights, navigational compasses (such as current-use M-1950 U.S. military compasses), knives and a variety of other devices. Tritium has replaced radioluminescent paint containing radium in this application, which can cause bone cancer and has been banned in most countries for decades. As of 2000, commercial demand for tritium is 400 grams per year[3] and the cost is approximately US$30,000 per gram.[3"
