A couple of mods

I had some spare time this aftrenoon and thought I would play about with a couple of mods , I was lucky enough to receive a dial from Domecurb and wanted to put it to good use . here is the before photo



here is after I replace dial , hands , chapter ring and crystal





I fitted a sapphire crystal that has a yellow tint to it ,as you can see it is very hard to photograph due to reflections it is also difficult to see the hands and dial properly so I changed back to a clear crystal







Next is my Monster mod , as most of you are aware this watch has had numerous dial and handsets I have never been 100% happy with the out come of each mod , maybe this one will stay

you have been busy both looking good and the skx007 is my favourite, the yellow sapphire is annoying, it looks good but you can see anything i wonder if it work better on a yellow or white dial?

It might look good with yellow or white dial I agree as there should be less of a reflection

Well done with both, that’s quite a transformation.

Think the clear crystal for the first one is better than the one with the yellow tint. It’s easier on the eye though may look better in real life as it is difficult to photograph.

I always keep a look out for the squiggle sweep second hand getting another turn when you mod your watches. If it’s not presently in use hopefully it is still safely in reserve.

The squiggle is safely tucked up in storage awaiting the right mod for it
