Re: Omega
Well done with your new purchase, that’s a beautiful watch.
It looks great on your wrist and definitely a classical elegant watch to be worn and enjoyed.

Had you bought it as a birth year watch? The hallmark might be 1963 but the movement serial number could be for 1962 which I think would be a 19 million number.
If it’s not meant to be and it’s destined for being sold let me know if it’s going to be on eBay or if you have a price for it. That said I think you should keep hold of it as it is a lovely dress watch.

its 21 million number so 1963, it was sold as a 1966 but i knew it was earlier, but couldn't pin it down without the number sadly

It was worth taking the chance as it’s still a lovely watch. It’s possibly hallmarked in 1966 though a 21 million movement number dates it to approx 1964.
Are you looking for a birth year watch or a gold one that can be dated by the hallmark or specifically an Omega one from 1962?
Don’t be in too much of a hurry parting with the Omega you did get, it’s a lovely dress watch as well as a really nice addition to your collection.

quite honestly i would just like a nice watch from 1962, as long as its decent quality i dont mind the brand or the what metal, although not chrome over brass
if you are interested in the Omega you can make a bid
