well this is definitely the last of 2018
Steinhart ocean 1 maxi ltd edition:
This is my first experience of Steinhart i have read all the reviews over the years and yet to hear anything remotely bad about them and it would seem the customer service is excellent as well, i nice change these days.
the Ocean 1 Maxi LTD edition is one of 300 released in 2016, this one was brand new in its box....just how i like them
the case measures 46mm including the crown and 42mm without so not too big or too small IMO, it has quite a slim case which is in keeping with the style its recreating, but the thickness increases to about 12mm with the high domed Hesalite crystal...again in keeping with the style, from an angle the Hesalite give a nice, interesting distortion to the dial which i like, but is still very easy to see and read.
This watch runs the ETA 2824-2 non date which is auto, hand winds and hacks, it is proving overnight to be very accurate as well.
The bracelet is very high quality with well made screwed links.
The bezel is the now almost standard 120 clicks, but is very well put together and almost feels like you are winding a quality watch when you rotate it, it also lines up perfectly at 12.
all in all a very nice quality and extremely comfortable watch to wear so much so ...i can see me wearing this for weeks
