Good luck with that, sounds very complicated and a recipe for disaster If I was trying to do it.

I crqshed the laptop twice last night attempting it

What distro are you trying, I used to use mint when I couldn’t find a windows disc

That is what I have used .... Mint

Managed to dual boot windows and Linux.

Possibly thinking of maybe buying a cheap cheap chromebook sized laptop just to run linux on until I get familiar with it . I stated years ago with Dos then win 3.1 and progressed all the way through to windows 10 but never tried Linux . Quite like the idea of a new challange.

That’s it you have tempted me to get an old pc out the loft to try and get back into it again,most of my computer type is now just on the iPad now
