We al love a Seiko or two but what's your favourite Seiko 5 , mine is this one why becouse it's classy but sports at the same time , the shines finish on the bezel insert with the slight dome crystal Makes It a great value watch , and as most get modded a original ones seems to get harder and harder to find

as you say they are modded a lot !
the prices have shot up as a result and now as expensive as an SKX007, unfortunately the 5 doesnt have the same spec as its only rated at 100m but its a cracking watch unmodded none the less
i have had so many Seiko 5's i have lost count and all have ended with new owners , but the are certainly value for money, if i was to choose one it would be the Seiko Land Shark, it was a stunning watch that someone liked more than me
same as this and 100% Japanese too

That Landshark is a beauty for me I quite like the look of The Seiko SNZF11 "Sea Urchin, Mini Sumo" I am a sucker for the urchin handset and I find the white dial pleasing to the eye

Yes I like that as well but minus the “5” I don’t know what it is but I can’t get on with it, sorry only me

i agree about the "5" but its is quite historical for Seiko as its the 5 standards the brand lives by:
1. Automatic
2. Day display
3. Date display
4. Water-resistant
5. Shockproof

I never realised that this is what the 5 represented. Makes sense really when I think about it. Good I have learnt something today

i made a few equerries to Seiko Japan a number of years ago and this was one of the questions they answered [ what the 5 meant ]
i was really asking about some quartz Seiko 5's i have as everyone said they were fakes and i was convinced they weren't, turns out Seiko made quartz "5's" for less that a year.........1982 i think still have them kicking around somewhere........very rare now
