    Ocean7 LM-2AD Empty Ocean7 LM-2AD

Post by domecurb Thu Dec 01 2016, 20:20

i bought an Ocean7 LM-2AD ages ago and it was a watch i bonded with very quickly even though it was black PVD [ i dont like black PVD Laughing ] and a rubber strap [ i dont like rubber straps Laughing ]
its a big watch with a double domed sapphire and inner AR coating, a lovely clear easy to read dial, backlight, alarm, chrono etc......quite advanced too, if you used the night light the hands would move to the 10 past 2 to clear the digital readout, TI case so light and comfy to wear.

then it stopped working ... affraid i was really cheesed off so got in touch with Ocean7..........most of you will know by now i am like a dog with a bone when i am on a mission, but this time i couldn't even get a response from Ocean7......countless emails and messages....even on facebook.........nothing....apparently they dont do customer service on their old stock Sad
nothing else for it then........a new movement, contacted ISA hoping they may just send me one...no such luck and wouldn't even sell me one Shocked bulk only seemingly ...200 plus units only Mad ,but they did give me the name of a watchmaker in germany that buys them so i contacted him........sorry manufacturers only .........really ?? Mad
    so i gave up Sad
tonight though i came across a nice, friendly, reasonably cheap supplier in Canada that is only too happy to supply a new movement..........so as i type its being prepared for shipment and i should have it in about 6 days cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers over the moon i am .........

That's been a heck of a lot of grief to go through to get to this point so full marks for perseverance. Ocean7 LM-2AD 3377044411

Will it be a straightforward job to fit the new movement?

It does sound straightforward though I know what the result would be if I tried. Sad

Hopefully it will arrive soon and avoid any Christmas post delays. Very Happy

a little update, my movement arrived from Canada this morning Very Happy i was expecting an ISA 9012/700......
i excitedly ripped open the package to find an ISA 9230/0005 5 hand analogue movement Sad BUGGER ! sent the wrong movement !!! Mad
sent an email to the supplier and they answered with an apology and a promise to supply the correct movement in January coming which is no problem as i wouldnt be touching the watch til then anyway.......
oh and i have to keep the wrong movement...no charge Very Happy
maybe a bit premature, but thats good efficient customer service Ocean7 LM-2AD 3377044411
