I would say that every collection needs to have an Automatic , a Quartz and a digital in it . Luckily i have all 3 does that mean my collection is now complete Shocked Shocked

i think it boils down to what we want as individuals, i can honestly say i have never bought a watch because someone else says they are good, i only buy what i like and as my tastes have changed over the years i expect to continue to add different watches to my collection right up till i am no longer capable so for me there is no "end game"
this time next year i may have a Seiko Spring Drive, if i was to choose today it would be a diver, but next year i may go for a dress watch [ i doubt it though...shudder!! Shocked ]

I'm kind of with John in what a watch collection needs but I would definitely add a solar powered radio controlled watch in the mix. I do want to try owning a 007 and G Shock but I have neither and am getting along fine. Ultimately every watch collection needs... another.
