Lost in the woods

I ventured off with my kids to some nearby woods. I thought I'd give my wife some space, there are times I need to give her lots of space even when she hasn't found out about my watch buying habits!
Anyway, we got lost in the woods. Luckily, we bumped I to some other people in the woods and after much walking we escaped. 
I breathed a sigh of relief and thought, I can't chance it again, I need a casio protrek. My phones GPS didn't really help, does anyone else have a protrek?

You just need a map and a compass

Never had a Protrek watch and I dont actually know that much about them I think a little google search is reuired by me.

Even though you took a wrong turn did you end up havng a good day.

i used to use a trail of bread crumbs, trouble is if you turn round and there is a fat bird staring up at you............you are lost

We had a great day thanks, no fat birds staring at us either! I wouldn't have been concerned at all about being lost but it was getting to the end of the day and I didn't fancy spending the night there with two lttlens

Reminds me of being a young scout and going for walks with our maps and compasses and the leaders stopping us every now and again and asking us to show them where we are on the map . My dad did the same when we both went for walks in the lake district.
