    New arrivals... Empty New arrivals...

    Post by apm101 Thu Sep 07 2017, 15:24

    Couple more new arrivals...

Last week- Bulova moon watch. I've been after one of these for a while, and one popped up, so I nabbed it.

High frequency quartz movement means the main seconds hand (subdial at 6) ticks twice per second. Looked odd at first, but it's grown on me. Quite big and heavy, and the brushed case means that all of my steel straps look odd, as they have shiny bits. Really suits my battered old NATO though! The smooth sweep of the chrono seconds is great. It's not as nice (in my view) as an Omega Moonwatch, but it's a fraction of the price.

Second, my birthday watch. Poljot 'Blue Angels' Navitimer.

Basically, an homage to a Breitling Navitimer, but made by Poljot in Russia. Looks quite alot like the Breitling, but not that much, really.

Houses the Poljot 3133 hand-wind chrono, two subdials, reverse panda with blued hands on the subdials. Has a display back, which shows the movement beautifully. Nice size at 40mm, looks good on a dressy strap or a NATO.

    Lucky me!! Very Happy

Two great looking watches so you quite right to be pleased. New arrivals... 3377044411

The Bulova is really striking and I love the contrast between the white hands and black dial. It's very similar to the Omega Moonwatch but with its high frequency Quartz movement also a great watch in its own right. Very Happy

I'm a bit hacked off, I've written two posts that when submitted have just disappeared. I can't be sure whether it was just me being an incompetent numpty. Rather than regurgitate the last post that disappeared, I'll summarise it.
I have acquired about 7 watches this year, with a kickstarter projected on its way. In the mean time, and as a rather more recent diver convert, I've picked up a Seiko 6309 7290. I like the design, though other than what I can see with my eyes all I know is that's its non winding and non hacking. I know there some knowledgeable chaps on the forum, what do you reckons n to the model? I only won it on eBay today (hope I wasn't bidding against anyone here!), the listing number is below, honest thoughts whether good or bad are sought.

i get the same issue with posts disappearing but i ahve come to the conclusion that i am not clicking send [ forgetting ] cant say if that is your issue though

the watch you have bought providing its all original [ sorry the item number doesnt work ] then you cant really go wrong, its just a bit smaller than an SKX007 so still a decent size, i hope its a good one for you New arrivals... 3377044411

All looks good Bit of a bargain in my opinion seeng as it has had a new dial and hands fitted. I do like a diver with the crown at 4 oclock

One little observation to point out now , you may not be happy with the strap , I find that style very stiff and not that comfy but it is an easy and cheap fix as there are lots of alternative and more comfy rubber straps about.

I bought one of these in blue and they are good

I thought the yellow would look good against the yellow dial .

Thanks for the comments, quite reassuring. I thought I couldn't go too far wrong because the price was so cheap for an auto Seiko diver. Looking forward to getting it on my wrist.
