Bruce, I must admit I was looking forward to your response on this one! I'm not convinced by smart watches yet. There are generally too many things I don't like, such as poor battery life, appearance and functionality. I didn't want a watch that only lasted a day without a charge, I don't like the flat tyre some of them have on the circular screens, I wanted one which could take a standard strap rather than integrated strap, I didn't want anything too large as some of them resemble a brick on a wrist, I didn't want anything which looks like it was designed by a 6 year old (which rules out Apple), I'm not interested in setting a load of daily fitness targets though would like something which had a bit of water resistance. I was interested in something which might allow me to see incoming calls, read text messages and most importantly - read the time! This one ticks most of my boxes though the jury is out in my opinion, just thought I'd see what one is like. You do have a point about evaluating ones life if you're too busy to get a phone out of your pocket. I have a mobile though would love to ditch it if I had a watch which could take calls and send messages. In terms of time constraints, I'm in a job where I attend roughly 100+ meetings a year and get very little respite so being able to glance at a watch in a meeting rather than getting phone out could have its bonuses.
