Seiko SKX007 bracelet recommendations Empty Seiko SKX007 bracelet recommendations

Post by Robti Tue May 30 2017, 17:44

Hi so following in from my other thread I am not getting on with my rubber/plastic strap so want a bracelet. Now do I look for a seiko branded strap or just go for any strap(looking for help if the seiko one is any good or am I being a snob only looking at them) and if so and recommendations for bracelets, don't want to buy one and then find out that everyone knew they were crap and not to go near them, was looking at a supposed genuine bracelet on the bay from France but then again what do I know ?

    Thanks

all the seiko ones are good although the jubilee ones can be a bit rattley, i think i mentioned before that strapcode make the best ones for seiko but they are expensive, if you go for an aftermarket one make sure you get the correct rounded end links
or you could try this from hong kong if you can wait

I don't know a great deal about Seiko bracelets to recommend anything, Bruce knows his stuff though. You're definitely not being a snob with your approach, nothing worse than buying something and never being quite happy with it.

i have quite a few seiko's and not all are on Seiko bracelets and to be honest a lot of the aftermartket ones are better than Seiko's

maybe its just me, but i think £19.99 is more than enough for a bracelet, i cant see how some are worth £50 or £60 or more Shocked

Thanks have to agree after all it's a sub£200 watch and some of the bracelets I was looking at were nearly half of that, I could understand if the watch was further up the range and spending that kind of money, but then again these higher end watches usually come with a better bracelet/strap.

I was ready to hit the buy button on the one you linked to and got sidetracked and started looking at the jubilee version they sell, yes really like this one will I click buy and then I noticed the large gap at the bracelet end where it met the watch so luck escape.

Moral of the story is just trust your judgment over mine when I don't know any better Embarassed

its ok, you remove links to fit your own wrist, 8 inches is a long bracelet, but you will get it down to a size that will fit comfortably.............just push out the link pins Very Happy

EDIT: just checked and its screwed pins in the links which is even better and a great price too ..........i might order one as well Seiko SKX007 bracelet recommendations 3377044411

Just to update bracelet came and refund has been received, somehow removable link had removed in transit and pin bent and corresponding hole in link elongated so I thought it could be adjusted and still be of service, but no all the screw head slots have been polished out so no decent slots left in the screw head ( how hard would it have been for them to make sure the screw was recessed before polishing) apart from this it did look decent but no weight in it

sorry to hear that, sounds like it was posted that way unless it got jammed in a machine   Shocked
at least you got a refund though, but its a pain in the butt !
i have to say....of all the bracelets i have bought online and most from china...i dont think i have been disapointed
i hope this doesnt put you off and you keep searching although i think the only way to guarantee quality is to buy the like of Strapcode etc...they are superb and i am wearing one right now
