A new watch and a nice day for a walk Empty A new watch and a nice day for a walk

Post by domecurb Thu Mar 09 2017, 15:34

i was feeling a bit crap recently so treated myself to a new watch, it was due to be delivered from Jersey on Friday but it arrived this morning......

so off for a walk with my new toy, doesn't look a particularly nice day, but around here this is positively tropical Very Happy

the watch is the Hanowa Swiss Military SM34223AEU/H03MS
it measures 48mm wide including the crown and around 12mm thick, due to the thickness it wears much smaller and has a 22mm lug width
flat sapphire crystal and a respectable Swiss made ISA 8172 chrono, the chrono seconds run at 5th of a second, subdial at 9 is minutes, subdial at 3 running seconds, subdial at 6 is the day and date at 4
the bezel insert despite the photo is a quite restrained burgundy, i am not normally a fan of colour on watches but this one works well IMO against the beautifully detailed black dial.
so a good day for me....................a nice watch and a nice walk Very Happy

Nice views to enjoy when having a walk & some fresh air. A new watch and a nice day for a walk 3377044411

The watch is nice to look at as well. Very Happy I do like the red bezel and how matching colours have been positioned on the dial. While the dial looks quite "busy" it's still easy to tell the time which is great. I think my only reservation would be the size though that's mainly down to being more used to smaller vintage watches. Very Happy

Whats the lug to lug length and how is the hand setting?
On an amazon review someone said hand setting was a bit sloppy.
