just For The Record Empty just For The Record

Post by PC-Magician on Thu Feb 23 2017, 14:11

Saw this and put a bid on it and won it.

Needed a tidy up.
35mm case

Cal 6112 can't find much about this particular movement

Dial had a lot of dust on it so that was cleaned up, doesn't show up too well in the picture.

Also some fibres were stuck to the sub seconds hand, some Rodico helped with the cleanup.

Crystal was badly scratched doesn't look it in the picture but it wasn't great, however some chrome polish and polywatch to finish off did the job well.

Case given a light clean to remove all the crud it was also a bit dull but the 20 micron gold plate looks good now with no plate loss.and finaly a new ostrich grain strap has been fitted.

It will get a service in due course but so far keeping excellent time.

Here is a before picture.

A very nice dress watch I especially like how the second hand is separate at the bottom of the dial .
