its the Alarm, the movement is an overly complicated ETA G10 variant [no longer available]
it runs as a standard chrono, but a combination of button presses arms a disarms the alarm
a stupidly expensive watch in its day
EDIT: i should add: when in alarm mode the center seconds hand is used to point to on/off
