    the caseback is a solid part of the case and cant be removed to access the movement, in this case the bezel needs to be removed followed by the crystal retaining ring and all the associated seals etc before you can access the movement

    Does it not have a battery escape hatch on the rear.

    No steve, its an eco drive, only way in is through the front
