Storing automatics Empty Storing automatics

Post by Robti on Sat Jul 28 2018, 09:37

Hi so I now have around a dozen automatics and wondered as I don’t have any winders, how to store them and will it do any damage having to set them every time I wear one ?
Thanks

Just use them as you please, modern movements use synthetic oils which don't dry up like old mineral oils and fish oil....YES FISH OIL !  If you are starting a stopped watch that can be hand wound just give the crown half a dozen turns although I would be wary about an ETA 2824 as these don't like being hand wound, but just a Quikr shake should do any auto
