Sources for watch bracelets

on Thu Mar 08 2018, 22:56
I own one or two watches that would look better on a bracelet rather than strap and it got me thinking where do members buy their bracelets from ? Do you have an online website or specific ebay seller that you use ?

I do not want to pay nothing too high because if I can find a decent bracelet for a good price I would be interested in buying maybe half a dozen to keep for future use.

Looking for 22mm stainless steel nothing too fancy and prefer clasps with a safety feature .

Cheers in advance John

i would say your best bet for value is eBay Chinese sellers, down side is the slow post, but in my experience its worth the wait

I did have a quick look on ebay last night and think you are correct with the chinese sellers. I may buy one and see how it feels etc when it arrives and if all is ok then order another 5 . I just want to built up a little collection so I have them at hand rather than having to order a new one . Mainly because I know the next few watches I will be buying will come on rubber straps which I dont like.

i would suggest if you are buying a few of them is to ask for a discount, they Chinese are usually very easy to deal with

I bought a couple of cheap bracelets from abroad yesterday firstly this one at £1.63

Secondly at £2.30

Not expecting brilliant quality at the price I paid but I do remember the last cheap one I bought was really good .

Now starts the wait for delivery

Both look great and seem very good value for money. Will look forward to your first impressions when they arrive. Very Happy

I have a similar mesh on my MM and agree they are great bracelets but on average they sell for about £16 and as I want to buy half a dozen I could not justify spending that amount.
The mesh ones are really comfy , if the ones I ordered are not suitable I may end up buying the mesh but one a month maybe .

the costs soon mount up, then it gets silyl and you end up with too many watches and then you join a watch forum to encourage your obsession and then.....................hang on Shocked

One of the straps arrived this morning overall I am not that impressed , I like the clasp especially the safety features the bracelet is very light in weight but poorly made as you can see in one of the photos it has quite a few dings and dents . Should I be complaining ..... Well not really seeing as how I only paid £2.26

I plan on getting my dremmel out later to see if I can remove some of the shiny bits as I would prefer a dull / brushed look.

The more I look at the bracelet the more I think you may actually be right. I think I shall send the seller photos of the bracelet and ask for a replacement.

I think you should complain as well because the bracelet is damaged. It’s certainly worth sending an email along with some pictures to see what their response would be. Ideally they should send you another bracelet which was in good order.

Quick update on the bracelet the seller offered me a full refund so I am very happy with that and the second bracelet I ordered arrived today I am much more impressed with this one as it feels a bit more chunkier and heavier although still light compared to most bracelets. Only downside is it is very shiny and new , may have to wipe it over with a green pad to reduce the shiny .
