Which Insert would you pick

Decided it is time to change the appearance of my Seiko 7002 the one with the blue dial only a simple appearance change though I am going to replace the bezel Insert



I can not decide which one to go for , do I pick the Turtle planet ocean in blue



Or do I pick the Turtle Ultra Classic ? ?



Another quick question I have a bezel from a skx007 that I no longer use would this bezel fit the 7002 or are they different sizes ? If it will fit I can change the insert in that one and that way I can keep the original 7002 bezel as well.

As always all opinions are greatly appreciated I await your advice gents

They are both from Dr Seikostain on Ebay so I know they are both good quality as I have bought from him before . I do like the Planet ocean one I have liked them since first seeing them on one of Domecurbs mods

I havnt used them my self so I carnt really comment on the quality etc of them

just my opinion, but for it too work in my eyes a blue insert would need to be the same shade as the dial or it would just look odd

I never thought of that and now that you have said it I agree you are right . Is there a way to "age or lighten" an insert ?

not really as you would need to start with the same type of blue, the 7002 dial is a pastel blue so you would need to start with a darker pastel blue......you may be able to find an insert the same
this is about as close as i can find, its glass or sapphire

007 and 7002 bezel inserts are interchangeable

Is that a Yobokies insert ? it looks like one of his dials

it is yes, i suspect it will be expensive, but it looks good

I have the old blue insert that I used to have on my Invicta I wonder if I should play around with that to see if I can age it .... maybe bleach might do the trick . not bothered if I damage it as I am not using it

bleach is the best bet, just paint it on, leave for a couple of minutes and wash it off

Might give it a try tomorrow as I have no other plans . If it does not work it means changing the dial and I dont really want to do that

Before I attempt bleaching my old insert do you suggest I use a mix of bleach and water or just bleach ?

just bleach .....just dont leave it on too long

I placed it in bleach and kept an eye on it 15 mins later and still no change apart from it has removed the shiny gloss finish . I think my problem is the bleach I used is thin bleach so I may buy some proper thick bleach and try again

if its taken the shine off then its working, just needs longer

its probably better if its slow as you have more control, i know the last time i did it the fading happened really fast..maybe too fast

Looks like interesting work, like everyone else who's replied, I quite like the planet Ocean, hope the bleaching goes well

The insert is lighter in colour and gies better with the dial. Now that I know this works I can buy the correct insert to fit the watch.
